Federal Aviation Administration - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for the safety of civil aviation. The FAA issues and enforces regulations and aircraft standards and certifies airmen and airports that serve air carriers. They develop air traffic rules, assign the use of airspace and control air traffic.

Char's personal travel tips:

  • Before departure, call your credit/debit card companies and let them know where/when you'll be traveling.
  • Test your debit card PIN, as you must have four numbers
  • Copy your passport and the back of your credit cards with emergency numbers of bank. Leave one copy at home. Pack one copy away from original documents.
  • Pack carry on luggage with medications, glasses, change of clothes, snacks, etc.
  • Reconfirm all flights within 48 hours of travel, as flight details are subject to change.
  • Leave itineraries and phone numbers behind with family/friends.
